Elie Wiesel – Worse than “Dual Loyalty”

15 07 2016

“My loyalty is to my people, to our people, and to Israel comes first and prevents me from saying anything critical of Israel outside Israel,” Wiesel once told a New York audience.  He went on to say that there were “certain things” that he did not like about Israel, but it was not his place to condemn. “That is the least Jews in the Diaspora can do for Israel: either speak up in praise, or keep silent.”

So quite rightly remembers Max Blumenthal when himself condemning, rather than praising Elie Wiesel.   Max — one of the most distinguished Jewish American critics of Israel — is the son of one of the most senior and long-time Hillary Clinton advisers, Sidney Blumenthal.
