The U.S. Air Force said Sunday it flew a B-1B strategic bomber over key maritime chokepoints in the Mideast with allies including Israel amid ongoing tensions with Iran as its nuclear deal with world powers remains in tatters. Accompanied by jets from Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, and Saudi Arabia Biden gave the OK to fly key areas of the Middle East including the Straights of Hormuz recently. Many pictures were released by the Pentagon including this one with an Israeli jet in the lead, the American B-1b strategic bomber close behind.

This dramatic show and threat of bombing Iran and its allies in the Middle East was done even as Biden was meeting in Rome with the G-20 leaders and about to head to Glasgow for the U.N.’s COP26. It was likely arranged to strengthen the new Israeli Prime Minister when he met recently at the White House with Biden and key officials met with top Pentagon leader.
