The U.S. is the only country to have ever used nuclear weapons — very primitive ones at the time just days after they were developed. And in recent days a leaked major Pentagon study reveals plans to use them now when they are thousands of times more numerous and destructive than they were back in 1945. Major efforts have been made, including initially by the top scientists who developed these weapons, to control and outlaw them. All such efforts have failed, primarily because of the U.S., and we are now at 2 minutes to midnight on the Doomsday Clock.
